DPRK-China Friendship Spring Concert Given by Chinese Artistes
Pyongyang, February 20 (KCNA) -- A DPRK-China friendship spring concert was given by the Chinese artistes at the Ponghwa Art Theatre on Wednesday in the joint name of the Korean Committee for Cultural Relations with Foreign Countries, the DPRK-China Friendship Association, the Ministry of Culture and Tourism of China and the Chinese embassy here to mark the first anniversary of the historic first visit to China paid by Kim Jong Un, chairman of the State Affairs Commission of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea.

Among the audience were Jon Kwang Ho, vice-premier of the Cabinet, Pak Chun Nam, minister of Culture, Ri Chang Gun, vice department director of the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea, and others, members of the DPRK-China Friendship Association, officials concerned and working people in the city.

Chinese Ambassador to the DPRK Li Jinjun and his embassy members, Chinese guests staying here and Chinese residents here watched the concert.

Speeches were made before the concert.

The artistes of a culture and art delegation from Jilin Province, China represented the aspiration to add beauty to the flower garden of DPRK-China friendship and steadily promote the friendly feelings between the two peoples through special and traditional cultural exchange this year that marks the 70th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic ties between the DPRK and China.

They showed well ardent patriotism, national emotion and romantic life with peculiar singing method, rich voice and smart and elegant rhythm through colorful numbers.

"Where Are You, Dear General?", an immortal masterpiece, and "Ardent Desire" sung by performers deeply moved the audience for vividly reflecting the ardent reverence of the Chinese people for Chairman Kim Jong Il and Supreme Leader Kim Jong Un who made contributions to the history of DPRK-China friendship and solidarity.
