Togolese President on Friendly Relations with DPRK
Pyongyang, February 21 (KCNA) -- DPRK Ambassador to Togo Jon Tong Chol presented his credentials to Faure Essozimna Gnassingbe, president of the Republic of Togo, on Feb. 12.

The president said the cornerstone of friendly relations between Togo and the DPRK was laid by President Kim Il Sung and former Togolese President Gnassingbe Eyadema and that the friendly relations are invariably developing on good terms.

Noting that the DPRK had rendered lots of cooperation to Togo in the past, the president hoped the friendly relations between the two countries forged by the preceding leaders would develop more vigorously.

He hoped this year for the DPRK would be better one than last year, stating that he is sharing the view with HE Kim Jong Un on his peace-loving policy and he will extend full support to it. He hailed the peaceful atmosphere created on the Korean Peninsula by the energetic activities of HE Kim Jong Un.
