The meeting discussed an action program of Pomminryon for ushering in a golden age of the country's peace, prosperity and reunification by implementing the north-south declarations.

A report was made at the meeting.

The report said that last year Pomminryon briskly conducted diverse activities for propelling national reconciliation and improvement of inter-Korean relations and giving further momentum to carrying out the declarations on a nationwide scale.

It highlighted the need for Pomminryon to score fresh victory in this year's struggle with the proud successes made in last year's reunification movement as a springboard.

It clarified tasks and ways for Pomminryon to usher in a golden age of the country's peace, prosperity and reunification by thoroughly implementing the historic north-south declarations this year.

It called for dealing decisive counterblows to all sorts of confrontational moves against the implementation of the north-south declarations and powerfully promoting the development of inter-Korean relations, which entered the new stage, on the principles of national independence and self-determination.

Pomminryon will fulfill its responsibility as the vanguard of independent reunification and standard-bearer of great national unity, strengthen its regional and basic organizations and steadily extend its ranks, the report pointed out.

It stressed that the new day of national reunification will be sure to come as there are the program of independent reunification illuminating the rosy future of the nation and the concerted efforts of all the fellow countrymen fully determined to implement the historic north-south declarations in the van.

A joint resolution was adopted at the meeting.
