Present at the closing ceremony were Yang Hyong Sop, vice-president of the Presidium of the Supreme People's Assembly, Pak Thae Song, vice-chairman of the C.C., Workers' Party of Korea, Jon Kwang Ho, vice-premier of the Cabinet, officials of the festival organizing committee, ministries, national institutions and armed forces organs, working people, youth and schoolchildren, servicepersons, members of the associations for disseminating the immortal flower and overseas compatriots.

The jury announced the results of the festival.

Certificates of the festival prize bearing the portrait of smiling Chairman Kim Jong Il were awarded to many units, officials, cultivators and individuals, the Central Standing Committee of the General Association of Korean Residents in Japan and overseas compatriots.

The participation certificates were also conferred on the working people and youth and schoolchildren who exhibited the immortal flowers at the festival.

The chairman of the Korea Kimilsungia-Kimjongilia Committee made a closing address.
