Rodong Sinmun on Dangerous Military Move in S. Korea
Pyongyang, February 25 (KCNA) -- Shortly ago, the flagship of the U.S. 7th fleet Blue Ridge dropped anchor at the Pusan naval base in south Korea under the pretext of "promotion of exchange, cooperation and friendship". In this regard, south Korean media reported that the ship called at the port after the lapse of three years.

It is also reportedly said in south Korea that some of U.S. reinforcements to take part in the Key Resolve joint military drill slated for early March arrived in south Korea and such procedures as deployment of troops and checking of drill scenario are being taken.

Commenting on this, Rodong Sinmun Monday says that the arms buildup and war exercise in south Korea are dangerous moves against the trend towards the improvement of the DPRK-U.S. relations and inter-Korean relations that took a significant first step.

Noting that the resumption of war drill with the shipping of military hardware into south Korea while talking about detente and peace spark off concern at home and abroad, the commentary goes on:

Dialogue, peace and improved relations can never go together with war drill and military hostility and pressure.

Rough handling of the inter-Korean relations and DPRK-U.S. ties may incur grave consequences.

It is necessary to recollect the past when the atmosphere of peace created in the Korean peninsula with much efforts ended in a failure owing to the military hostilities against the partner.

It is necessary to behave with discretion, pondering over consequences to be entailed by the dangerous military moves.
