Present there on invitation were Li Jinjun, Chinese ambassador to the DRPK, and his embassy officials and Chinese guests staying here.

On hand were Jon Kwang Ho, vice-premier of the Cabinet, Pak Kyong Il, vice-chairman of the Korean Committee for Cultural Relations with Foreign Countries and chairman of the DPRK-China Friendship Association, Ri Yong Son, deputy general director of the General Bureau of Civil Aviation, and officials concerned.

In his speech at the reception Jon Kwang Ho said that the exchange and cooperation between the DPRK and China has increased and the friendly ties between the two peoples have grown stronger in the past 60 years since the conclusion of the agreements.

Firm is the stand of the Workers' Party of Korea and the government of the DPRK to invariably develop the traditional DPRK-China friendship, he said, expressing the will to actively promote the development of DPRK-China friendly relations, the common treasure of the two peoples.

The Chinese ambassador noted that the four meetings between General Secretary Xi Jinping and Chairman Kim Jong Un made it possible to open up a new history of China-DPRK relations.

He stressed that immutable are the stand of the Chinese party and government on boosting China-DPRK relations, the friendly sentiment of the Chinese people with the Korean people and China's support for socialist Korea, whatever the international and regional situations might be.

He sincerely hoped that the Korean people would keep achieving bigger successes in accomplishing the cause of socialism under the guidance of the Workers' Party of Korea headed by Chairman Kim Jong Un.
