Pyongyang, February 28 (KCNA) -- Kimjongilia exhibitions were held in China and Mongolia, a ceremony for visiting the Kimilsungia Hothouse took place in Guinea and Korean book, photo and craftwork exhibitions were held in Russia and Laos between Jan. 28 and Feb. 20 on the occasion of the birth anniversary of Chairman Kim Jong Il, Day of the Shining Star. Displayed at the venues of the events were photos showing the revolutionary activities of President Kim Il Sung, Chairman Kim Jong Il and Supreme Leader Kim Jong Un. There were also their works, potted Kimilsungias and Kimjongilias in full bloom, the flowers of the sun, and books and photos introducing the DPRK and handicrafts associated with the creative talents of the Korean people. The chairperson of the Kimjongilia Association of Mongolia said that they would proactively contribute to developing the relations of friendship between the peoples of the DPRK and Mongolia by cultivating more Kimjongilias and widely organizing its exhibitions in different parts of Mongolia in the future. A vice-chairperson of the Kimilsungia-Kimjongilia Association of Guinea praised the revolutionary career of Kim Jong Il and explained how Kimjongilia, the flower of the sun, came into being. The secretary of the Khabarovsk Territorial Regional Political Council of the United Russia Party who is chairman of the legislative council of the territory, noted that Kim Jong Il devoted himself to the country and its people. The president of the Lao Federation of Trade Unions said the tradition of friendly relations between the two countries were provided and is being carried forward thanks to President Kaysone Phomvihane and President Kim Il Sung and that the current exhibition would be a good occasion in further developing the bilateral cooperative relations in various fields. Meanwhile, an online exhibition of Korean book, photo and craftwork was opened in Mexico on Feb. 15. |
