Supreme Leader Kim Jong Un Leaves Vietnam

Pyongyang, March 3 (KCNA) -- Kim Jong Un, chairman of the Workers' Party of Korea (WPK) and chairman of the State Affairs Commission of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea, successfully finished the official goodwill visit to the Socialist Republic of Vietnam and left Hanoi on Saturday. Supreme Leader of the Party, state and army Kim Jong Un was seen off at the lodging place by Nguyen Duc Chung, chairman of the Hanoi City People's Committee, the permanent deputy director of the Communist Party of Vietnam Central Committee (CPVCC) Office and the deputy-minister of Public Security of Vietnam. Nguyen Duc Chung presented Kim Jong Un with a bouquet. Kim Jong Un exchanged parting words with officials of the Vietnamese party and government and Hanoi City, who visited his lodging place, and left it at 9:30 a.m. local time. Hanoi citizens warmly saw off Kim Jong Un on his way back home after recording another new chapter in the history of the DPRK-Vietnam friendship. On the hundreds of miles-long route between the lodging place and Dong Dang Station, where his train was set to leave, working people of various strata, youth and schoolchildren warmly saw him off, waving the flags of both countries and bunches of flowers. Outside the station and at its platform were a lot of masses in beautiful national costumes with the flags of both countries and bouquets in their hands to see him off. Vo Van Thuong, Politburo member and secretary of the CPVCC and chairman of its Commission for Education and Information, Mai Tien Dung, minister-chairman of the Government Office, Le Hoai Trung, deputy minister of Foreign Affairs, the secretary of the Lang Son Provincial Committee of the CPV, Le Ba Binh, Vietnamese ambassador to the DPRK, and other senior party and government officials of Vietnam were at the station. Kim Myong Gil, DPRK ambassador to Vietnam, and his embassy members were also there. When Kim Jong Un arrived at the station amid warm send-off by lots of Hanoi citizens along the route to the station, the throngs of people waiting outside the station warmly congratulated him on his successful historic visit to Vietnam, waving flags and bunches of flowers. Kim Jong Un got out of his car and waved his hand long to respond to the enthusiastically cheering crowds. A woman presented him with a bouquet, bidding farewell. He shook hands in farewell with the officials of the Vietnamese party and government. He expressed satisfaction at the results of the visit and his heartfelt gratitude to the Vietnamese party, government and people for their kind and cordial reception. His train left Dong Dang Station, conveying the feelings of deep friendship and firm solidarity of the brotherly Vietnamese people with the Korean people. |
