Construction of Provincial Tree Nurseries Progresses Apace in DPRK
Pyongyang, March 14 (KCNA) -- The construction of provincial tree nurseries is progressing apace in the Democratic People's Republic of Korea.

The Kangwon Provincial Tree Nursery, a land- and manpower-saving type, has become a model and standard to be followed by other provinces.

In Jagang Province, the project for building substrate-producing and seed selection grounds and paving compound and roads was finished in a short period and nursery fields were readjusted like a paduk board.

The province has rearranged an experimental plot, outdoor cultivation ground and outdoor adaptive section while raising saplings with quality compost and humus.

Its field headquarters, in cooperation with technologists, is simultaneously pushing ahead with the work of establishing a computer integrated manufacturing for sapling production, building a greenhouse with plastic sheets and a windbreak forest.

In North Phyongan Province, a brisk work is going on to propel the preparations for manufacture and installation of equipment at the tree nursery and green its surroundings after the construction of scores of buildings and facilities in a short span of time.

Rason City completed the framing, plastering and roof covering of 14 construction objects for its tree nursery including dwelling houses. It is now stepping up the pavement of the nursery compound at the final stage.

South Phyongan and South Hwanghae provinces, too, are striving to build modern tree nurseries where the sapling production is put on a scientific, industrial and intensive basis.

Meanwhile, a work is progressing to build modern sapling greenhouses at city and county mother tree nurseries across the country.
