KCNA Commentary on Hwang Kyo An's Campaign for "Conservative Mega-merger"
Pyongyang, March 14 (KCNA) -- Hwang Kyo An, representative of the "Liberal Korea Party" (LKP) of south Korea, is now impudent enough to call for the merger with the conservative opposition parties.

He said that "it is necessary to help personages of other conservative opposition parties and Thaegukgi forces to join the LKP" and that "it is important to realize the phased merger." He also called upon the "Parun Mirae Party" to "join it to prevent the tyranny of the government", styling himself the key figure of the merger.

His calling for merger is, in essence, meant to put all the conservative forces under his control. In other words, it is aimed to extend the influence of his faction to get LKP under his thumb and, at the same time, to make other conservative opposition parties a springboard for his rise to power in the next-term "presidential" election.

Hwang has neither his own view nor philosophy as a politician, not to mention personality or administrative achievements. He has only a wild ambition for power.

He took "premiership" with the backing of traitor Park Geun Hye, but later when she was driven into a tight corner for her scandal of "state affairs", he broke off the relations with her to stay in the post.

He was so impudent as to "vow to remain loyal to the traitor" in the election campaign of a new representative of LKP to finally hold party hegemony, and now seeks to exploit all the conservative forces for his seizure of "presidency".

Irony is that having failed to settle the factional issue within his party, he is now crying out for the mega-merger. It is shame on the conservative world that he, devoid of elementary personality, seeks to become a leading figure.

It is crystal clear to all that if he, imprudent and crafty, represents the conservative circle, the south Korean political situation will get more complicated and the people's living will get worse.

That is why conservative opposition parties are vigilant against the LKP coteries crying out for merger.

"Parun Mirae Party", being fearful of the merger with LKP coteries which will cause the party division, concentrates all its efforts on the party unity, warning not to discuss the merger thoughtlessly and touting the possibility is less than 0.01 percent.

The "Korean Patriotic Party" that consists of ultra-right conservative riff-raffs also try to place their party above the "Liberal Korea Party" and the "Parun Mirae Party", urging Hwang Kyo An to expel those unpleasant to its eyes from his party.

As mentioned above, the LKP styling itself the first opposition party is given a cold reception within the conservative camp.

The foolish campaign will result in the complete isolation and rejection of Hwang Kyo An's group by other conservative forces.
