South Korean Students Call for Dissolution of LKP
Pyongyang, March 18 (KCNA) -- The Kangwon Progressive Federation of Students of south Korea launched a protest action on March 13 urging lawmaker Kim Jin Thae to resign from his post and calling for dissolution of the "Liberal Korea Party" (LKP) that is shielding Kim, according to the south Korean internet newspaper Jaju Sibo.

Kim has reportedly come under public criticism for distorting the history and the spirit of the May 18 Kwangju Popular Uprising in south Korea.

Members of the federation stormed Kim's office and handed him a questionnaire taking issue with his awful behavior of unhesitatingly insulting the May 18 pro-democracy movement for his dirty ambition for power. It urged him to resign from his post and pay for his wrong deed immediately.

Then the organization released a statement, which said the treacherous moves of LKP which had to be dissolved along with the impeachment of Park Geun Hye two years ago, have gone beyond the red line.

LKP can never go with impunity as it pursues ultra-right conservative politics, far from making a sincere apology for its crimes, the statement added.

The organization declared that students will take the lead in the campaign for dissolving LKP and eradicating deep-rooted evils for the final victory of the candle-light resistance and peaceful reunification of the Korean peninsula.
