Jozef Servista, chairman of the Paektusan Czech-Korean Friendship Association who is deputy general secretary of the Central Committee of the Czechoslovak Communist Party and chairman of the Czech Group for the Study and Materialization of the Juche Idea, was elected chairman of the preparatory committee.

It decided to hold colorful political and cultural events such as seminar and film show in praise of the revolutionary careers and feats of President Kim Il Sung and Chairman Kim Jong Il and the personality of Supreme Leader Kim Jong Un as the great man on the occasion of the Day of the Sun.
