At the Combined Reed Farm, he stressed the need to repair and maintain a sluice, water pump, etc. in ensuring water supply for increased reed production and the need for relevant units to give help to the farm in a responsible manner.

At the Sinuiju Chemical Fibre Mill, he highlighted the need to manage equipment well in pulp production and bleaching processes, thoroughly meet the requirements of standard regulations of operation and further enhance the responsibility of officials in hurrying the upgrading of the mill.

Walking round the Sinuiju Textile Mill and the Thosong Cooperative Farm in Sinuiju City, the premier took the measures to further upgrade production processes, step up the construction of the mill's hostel and make effective preparations for each farming process.
