Present at the meeting were Jo Il Yon, vice-chairman and director of the organization department of the Chongryon Central Standing Committee, Ri Hong Yun, chairman of the UKSJ Central Standing Committee, and other deputies.

Ri Hong Yun made a report.

He said that the UKSJ has more thoroughly established the ideological system and leadership system of Juche within the union and pushed ahead with the five-point education with the main emphasis on the education in the greatness of the great leaders.

Since its 39th meeting, the UKSJ has made big successes in its work including scientific research, talent training and expansion of the union, he said.

He referred to the tasks faced by the UKSJ in making contributions to the overall prosperity of the movement of Koreans in Japan till 2022 when the 25th Congress of Chongryon is due to be held.

Following the speeches at the meeting, the results of the "2018 movement for creating new history of the Union of Korean Students in Japan" were announced and citations were awarded to the excellent branches of the union.

Ri Hong Yun was re-elected as chairman of the Central Standing Committee of the UKSJ.
