Eduard Knapp, chairman of the Society for the Promotion of the Relations between Austria and DPRK, was elected chairman of the preparatory committee.

The committee decided to give wide publicity to the revolutionary careers and exploits of President Kim Il Sung and Chairman Kim Jong Il, the personality of Supreme Leader Kim Jong Un as the great man and the successes made by the Korean people under the guidance of the Supreme Leader in building a powerful socialist country and hold colorful political and cultural events on the occasion of the Day of the Sun.
