Movement for Rich Harvest Gains Momentum in Countryside of DPRK
Pyongyang, March 27 (KCNA) -- The movement for rich harvest is gaining momentum in rural communities of the DPRK.

Now in the height of spring farming season, the agricultural guidance organs and cooperative farms have organized effectively the socialist emulation for increasing the grain output among different units and peasants.

Some days ago, a passing-on-technique meeting on springtime sowing for agricultural officials across the country was held at the Posok Cooperative Farm in Unjon County of North Phyongan Province. The meeting served as an occasion in inspiring the peasants with zeal and will to surely bring about the high yield this year by dint of scientific farming.

Meanwhile, cooperative farms, workteams and sub-workteams launched such emulations as distributing high-yield varieties suited to soil conditions and introducing advanced farming methods and technique and overcoming the unfavorable climatic conditions by dint of science and technology. In this course, high-yield units have further redoubled their efforts and an atmosphere was created for the animated campaigns in which one overtakes and learns from others and swaps experiences with them.

Last year, many farms, workteams and sub-workteams in the country won the honor of high-yield units despite unfavorable climatic conditions and the number of high-yield peasants increased over the figure in 2017, additionally 16,000.
