The festival is an all-people art festival provided by Chairman Kim Jong Il in reflection of the desire of the Korean people to hold Kim Il Sung in high esteem as the sun of Juche.

The festival will bring together members of art troupes and squads and itinerant art groups and members of art groups in Pyongyang and provinces.

It will take place at theatres and cultural houses in Pyongyang from April 10 to 17, divided into categories of art troupe, art squad, itinerant art group and art group.

The art festival will also include a magic festival.
