Present at the wreath-laying ceremony were Ambassador Li Jinjun, staff members of his embassy, Chinese guests staying here and students studying here, Chinese residents in the DPRK and Choe Song Chol, vice-minister of Urban Management, Pak Kyong Il, vice-chairman of the Korean Committee for Cultural Relations with Foreign Countries who doubles as chairman of the DPRK-China Friendship Association, and officials concerned.

Wreaths were laid at the tower in the names of the Chinese embassy and a Chinese delegation.

Wreaths were also laid in the names of the Ministry of Urban Management, the Pyongyang City People's Committee, the Korean Committee for Cultural Relations with Foreign Countries and the DPRK-China Friendship Association.

Participants paid a silent tribute to fallen fighters of the Chinese People's Volunteers before looking round the tower.

Floral baskets and wreaths were laid at the cemetery of martyrs of the Chinese People's Volunteers in Hoechang County, South Phyongan Province in the names of the Chinese embassy, the Hoechang County People's Committee, etc.
