The message said that Supreme Leader Kim Jong Un's reelection as chairman of the State Affairs Commission of the DPRK at the First Session of the 14th Supreme People's Assembly reflects the trust and support of the Korean party and people for Kim Jong Un.

It extended warm congratulations and sincere wishes to Kim Jong Un.

The message went on:

We are pleased over the fact that the DPRK has continued to make new successes in economic and social development, and the socialist cause has entered a new historic phase under the leadership of Comrade Chairman.

I believe that the Korean people would surely register new great successes in all work for the state building and development according to the new strategic line put forth by Comrade Chairman.

China and Korea are the friendly neighboring countries linked by the same mountain and rivers.

I am giving high priority to the traditional friendly and cooperative relations between China and the DPRK.

Since last year I have shared some important common ideas with Comrade Chairman through four summits and meetings and jointly opened up a new chapter of China-DPRK relations.

My hope is to further develop China-DPRK relations with Comrade Chairman on the occasion of the 70th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic ties between the two countries and to bring better benefit to the two counties and two peoples.
