The Vietnamese president in the message extended warm congratulations to Kim Jong Un upon his election as chairman of the State Affairs Commission of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea at the First Session of the 14th Supreme People's Assembly.

The message sincerely wished the DPRK's government and people bigger successes in their cause of building the DPRK into a prosperous and happy country under the guidance of the WPK with Kim Jong Un as its chairman.

It expressed the belief that the traditional relations of friendship and cooperation between the two countries would steadily develop in conformity with the interests of the two peoples and peace, stability, cooperation and development of the region and the world, on the basis of the joint understanding obtained by the two parties and the heads of two countries during Kim Jong Un's recent official goodwill visit to Vietnam.

The message wished Kim Jong Un good health and many continuous successes in his noble work.
