Swiss Bodies Praise President Kim Il Sung

Pyongyang, April 15 (KCNA) -- The Swiss Preparatory Committee for Celebrating the 107th Birth Anniversary of President Kim Il Sung, the Swiss Organizing Committee for the International Festival in Praise of the Great Persons of Mt Paektu, the Switzerland-Korea Committee and the Swiss Group for the Study of the Juche Idea made public a joint statement on April 1 ahead of the Day of the Sun, Kim Il Sung's birth anniversary.

The statement said that April 15 1912, Kim Il Sung's birthday, is a significant day when the great sun of the Korean nation rose up.

It noted that the Korean people celebrate the birth anniversary of the President as the Day of the Sun.

The President freed Korea from the Japanese imperialists' colonial rule on Aug. 15 1945 and accomplished the cause of building the party, state and army, it pointed out.

Under the leadership of him who was an iron-willed brilliant commander and outstanding strategist, the Korean people won a historic victory in the three year-long Fatherland Liberation War, it said.

The President, who kept it as his motto to believe in the people as in heaven and built the people's paradise, is the father of socialist Korea, it said.

He put his heart and soul into the efforts for the country's reunification, people's happiness and global independence, it added.

His cause was creditably taken over by HE Kim Jong Il and is now successfully carried forward by Supreme Leader Kim Jong Un, it stressed.
