Rodong Sinmun says in an editorial that thanks to the glorious day when President Kim Il Sung was born, the new history of modern Korea bearing Juche year numbers was created and the dawn of the independent era came to break.

It says that the President is the sun of Juche whom the Korean nation greeted for the first time in thousands of years of its history and hold in high esteem and a tender-hearted teacher of the people and dear father.

It is the precious fruit of all the painstaking efforts of the President, a great sage of the revolution and great leader of the people, that the Korean people have led a dignified and worthwhile life century after century and that the country, once eclipsed in the world map, has demonstrated its might as a genuine country of the people and a powerful socialist state, says the editorial.

It says that feats the President performed for the people are that he provided the people with the guiding ideology of the revolution through which the popular masses can determine their own destiny independently and that he built in the country the most advantageous state social system centered on the masses in the world.

He established the powerful leadership political organization and revolutionary armed forces, laid a firm foundation for the self-supporting economy and successfully settled the issue of succession to the leadership, the core issue arising in the accomplishment of the cause of independence, says the editorial.

Minju Joson in an editorial says that the President's foundation of a socialist state centered on the masses under the banner of the Juche idea is the greatest of his feats, calling for continuing to glorify socialism of Juche.
