Born as a daughter of poor peasants before the liberation of the country, Choe keenly felt the sorrow of the statelessness, being subject to all kinds of maltreatment and humiliation.

It was only after the liberation of the country by President Kim Il Sung that she could lead a worthwhile life as a human being. Out of single intention to pay off the solicitude, she tried to fulfill her duty as an agricultural worker.

Even after she got retired, she kept herself busy, doing household chores and other work. She is now enjoying the remaining days of her life and keeps asking her offspring to work hard for the country.
