The message expressed the belief that the Syrian government and people would defend the sovereignty of the country and achieve stability by their concerted efforts and that the friendly and cooperative relations between the two countries further develop in the future, extending firm support and solidarity to the just cause of the Syrian people.

Meanwhile, DPRK Foreign Minister Ri Yong Ho sent a message of greeting to Walid Al-Muallem, deputy prime minister and minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates of Syria, on the same day on the same occasion.
