Present there were members of the Leadership of the Workers' Party of Mexico including its National Leader Alberto Anaya Gutierrez and delegates of its affiliated organizations.

Attending it were delegations and delegates of more than 140 political parties and organizations from over 40 countries including the DPRK, Cuba, Vietnam and Venezuela.

Present there on invitation were leaders of progressive political parties and lawmakers of Mexico and diplomatic envoys of different countries including the DPRK charge d' affaires ad interim in Mexico.

A congratulatory message from the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea (WPK) was read out to be followed by speeches.

The head of the delegation of Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK) said that the Korean people are creating miracles and innovations in the economic construction with the might of self-reliance under the guidance of Supreme Leader Kim Jong Un in despite of the hostile forces' persistent sanctions and pressures.

He affirmed that the WPK would in the future, too, invariably hold fast to the socialist principles in all fields of the revolution and construction and successfully accomplish the cause of building a powerful country by its own efforts under the banner of independence against imperialism.

Delegates of political parties of different countries blasted the imperialists for interfering in the sovereign states advancing along the road of independence and called upon all the progressive political parties and organizations of the world to consolidate the unity and solidarity to cope with them.

Adopted at the seminar was a "solidarity statement for supporting the Workers' Party of Korea defending peace and security on the Korean peninsula and the region and the just cause of the Korean people".

The statement highly appreciated the successes made by the WPK and the Korean people in socialist construction under the leadership of Kim Jong Un, the peace-loving will of the DPRK government and its proactive efforts.

The struggle of the WPK and the Korean people for defending peace and security on the Korean peninsula and the region and accelerating the building of a powerful country encourages the peoples of the countries in their struggle for securing international justice and peace and building a new society, said the statement.

Firmly rejecting the hostile forces' sanctions and pressures upon the DPRK and strongly demanding the withdrawal of them, the statement called upon all communist parties, workers' parties and progressive organizations of the world to further intensify the international support and the solidarity activities for the just cause of the WPK and the Korean people for easing the tension on the Korean peninsula and improving the north-south relations.
