Congratulatory Group of Koreans in Japan Visits Mangyongdae

Pyongyang, April 22 (KCNA) -- A congratulatory group of Koreans in Japan for celebrating the birth anniversary of President Kim Il Sung (Day of the Sun) led by Kwon Sun Hwi, adviser to the Central Standing Committee of the General Association of Korean Residents in Japan (Chongryon), visited Mangyongdae, the birthplace of the President. Members of the congratulatory group visited the Mangyongdae Revolutionary Museum where the historical data and relics showing the revolutionary activities of the President and his family members are on display. At the old home in Mangyongdae where the President was born, spent his childhood and nurtured great intention for the revolution, they looked round historic mementoes, being briefed on the story associated with the historic home. After the visit, the head of the congratulatory group said that visiting Mangyongdae, the native place dear to the heart of the Korean nation, the yearning for the President grew stronger. Kwon went on: The President defeated the Japanese imperialists, liberated the country, founded the Democratic People's Republic of Korea and led the Fatherland Liberation War to victory. He formed Chongryon and put forward the Koreans in Japan as dignified overseas citizens of the independent and sovereign state and remitted educational aid funds and stipend for children of Korean residents in Japan. Kwon said that he could not forget forever the benevolent image of the President who showed his great favor while saying he felt very pleased at a time when he met with officials of Chongryon and Koreans in Japan. Kwon noted that they would make a dynamic advance of patriotism for the prosperity of the country and the overall development of the movement of Koreans in Japan true to noble intention of Supreme Leader Kim Jong Un. The congratulatory group also toured the Korean Revolution Museum, Pyongyang Teacher Training College, the Pyongyang Cosmetics Factory, the Ryuwon Footwear Factory, etc. |
