This system is guaranteed by the Law of the DPRK on Nursing and Upbringing of Children.

President Kim Il Sung saw to it that the law was adopted at the Sixth Session of the Fifth Supreme People's Assembly on April 29, Juche 65 (1976).

The law stipulates that all the children of the DPRK should be brought up at nurseries and kindergartens at state and social expense.

It ensures that all the children under preschool ages receive scientific nutrition and hygiene care and good education at nurseries and kindergartens, thus making them to be men with noble morality, developed mentality and strong physique.

Under this law, the best things are directed to children in the DPRK.

Goods supply centers for nurseries and kindergartens came into being at cities and counties across the country.

The supply centers provide nurseries and kindergartens with tens of nutritious food like soya milk, meat, eggs, fruits, vegetables and confectionery.

And nurseries and kindergartens give children education in a systematic way for developing their intelligence and physical strength and cultivating emotion and artistic talent.
