Officials and employees of the Central Zoo have systematically increased the number of gift animals and other animals from different countries by putting the raising and tending on a scientific basis and acclimatizing them.

They have built bases for feed production and developed various additives and veterinary medicines to put supply of feed, prevention of diseases and treatment of animals on a scientific and technical basis, so as to prolong their life and preserve their presentation values.

They have also made lots of stuffed specimens and sent them to Mangyongdae Revolutionary School, Kang Pan Sok Revolutionary School, Pyongyang Orphanage, Pyongyang Primary School for Orphans and other units.
