Day of Sun Marked at DPRK Missions Abroad
Pyongyang, April 30 (KCNA) -- Celebration meetings, remembrance meetings, books and photo exhibitions, film shows and receptions were held by the DPRK missions in China, Russia, Cuba, Mongolia, Vietnam, Laos, Syria, Nepal, Malaysia, Myanmar, Bangladesh, Singapore, Cambodia, Pakistan, Iran, Indonesia, India, Belarus, Romania, the Czech Republic, Switzerland, Germany, Italy, Austria, Spain. Guinea, Nigeria, South Africa, DR Congo, Algeria, Angola, Uganda, Ethiopia, Egypt, Equatorial Guinea, Mexico, Brazil and Venezuela and the DPRK permanent mission to the UN Office and international organizations in Geneva and the DPRK permanent mission to the UN from April 5 to 15 to mark the birth anniversary of President Kim Il Sung (Day of the Sun).

Korean films were screened at the film shows.

Personages of governments, political parties, organizations and institutions and people in those countries, representatives of international and regional bodies were invited to the events.

Officials of the DPRK missions were on hand.

The chairman of the Liberal Democratic Party of Russia said it was thanks to the solid foundation for the national development laid by President Kim Il Sung that the DPRK achieved a brilliant victory in all sectors, praising the President as an outstanding state leader of the 20th century recognized by the world.

The head of the Central Political Division of the Ministry of the Revolutionary Armed Forces of Cuba who is a member of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Cuba said Chairman Kim Jong Il successfully carried forward the idea and cause of President Kim Il Sung, the greatest man, adding Supreme Leader Kim Jong Un is developing the DPRK into a powerful country, true to the noble intention of the preceding leaders.

A vice-chairman of the United Socialist Party of Venezuela stressed that it would have been unthinkable without the exploits of the President that the DPRK is shining as a socialist bulwark.
