Pyongyang, April 30 (KCNA) -- Aerial tour by super-light planes operated by the Mirim Air Club in Pyongyang, the capital city of the DPRK, is popular among not only Koreans but also foreign tourists.

Since the start of the sight-seeing flight at the club in July Juche 105 (2016), more than 3 000 people have taken part in the flight and the club has been visited by at least 1 1300 people.

Hundreds of persons from China, Russia, Mongolia, Iraq, Germany, Netherlands, Switzerland, Egypt, Australia and other countries enjoyed a bird's-eye view of Pyongyang by plane.

Tourists take planes named "Kkulbol (honey bee)" steered by women and men pilots in twenties and command a bird's-eye view of the Munsu Water Park, May Day Stadium, Tower of the Juche Idea, Mirae Scientists Street, Sci-tech Complex and Mangyongdae at an altitude of 300 meters.

The plane may make a shuttle flight to the West Sea Barrage and formation flight at requests. Passengers can tour Pyongyang by personally steering the super-light plane.

And the service at the airplane-shaped facility gives pleasure to visitors.

A German tourist said that the most impressive thing during his tour of the DPRK was to take the super-light plane at the Mirim Air Club. The scenery of Pyongyang is very beautiful and I will take the plane again in the next time, he added.

Kim Ho Chol, director of the Club, told KCNA that they would contribute to making people feel the pride and self-confidence living in the socialist country by operating the sight-seeing flight better.
