The Central Botanical Garden has become a scientific research center promoting botany development of the country and educational center disseminating various and rich knowledge of botany thanks to the loving care of the peerlessly great men. It has disseminated across the country more than 36.9 million trees of 150 odd species of useful economic plants.

A total of 10.8 million people have visited the garden, a treasure-seat of vegetation resources and a cultural recreation site of the Korean youth and students and other people.

The garden has worked hard to increase vegetation resources of the country through exchange with over 100 countries of the world.

More than 3,340 organisations observed plants and lectures on botany knowledge were given to a total of 3.7 million people.

The botanical garden has 13 sections and 125 districts to give visitors knowledge of plants living in Korea and many other countries of the world.
