Pyongyang, May 3 (KCNA) -- Youths of the DPRK have dynamically conducted an increased production drive in various sectors of the national economy to implement the tasks set forth by Supreme Leader Kim Jong Un in his historic policy speech and at the Fourth Plenary Meeting of the Seventh Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea. Members of the youth shock brigades at Pukchang and Pyongyang thermal power complexes boost the production by increasing the number of generating equipment at operation and raising their output power. Youths at collieries in the western area of the country, including Sunchon and Pukchang area youth and Anju area coal mining complexes have secured several new coal beds through a brisk high-speed tunneling campaign and brought about collective innovations in the coal production by raising the operation rate of winning equipment and means of conveyance. Those at the Hwanghae Iron and Steel Complex have striven to introduce rational melting methods into oxygen heat blast furnace and 20-ton oxygen converter for lowering sulfur content. Meanwhile, youths in the railway transport sector are working hard to reduce the time of repairing locomotives, contributing to the freight transport like the coal transport. |
