A lecture was given under the title of "On the advantages of the socialist healthcare system of our country to which the respected Supreme Leader Comrade Kim Jong Un adds luster," and papers on theoretical and practical issues arising in the development of medical science and technology and the public health service were made public.

The symposium took place, divided into panels of hepatopathy, dentistry, pharmaceutics and psychiatry.

The participants exchanged their research achievements and experience in prevention and treatment of diseases and had in-depth discussions about the issues arising in applying them to clinical practice.

Attending the symposium were officials scientists and teachers of public health sector including the Central Committee of the Medical Association of Korea, and members of a delegation of the Korean Health Workers Association in Japan headed by Chairperson Nam Yang I and a delegation of Korean medical persons in the U.S. led by Park Kee Bum.
