The Pioneer Party of Indonesia and the Indonesia-Korea Association for Friendship and Cultural Exchange said this in a joint statement on April 27 on the occasion of the first anniversary of the Panmunjom Declaration.

The joint statement said that with the adoption of the declaration in April last year a radical turn was brought about in developing inter-Korean relations on the Korean peninsula.

It pointed out that the declaration reflects the intention and desire of not only Koreans but peace-loving progressives.

It urged the south Korean authorities to put an end to joint military drills with the U.S. which wreck the peaceful atmosphere of the peninsula.

It extended full support and solidarity to the Korean people in their efforts for peace and reunification of the peninsula.
