The work, published on May 7, Juche 63 (1974), is an immortal encyclopedia giving comprehensive and scientific answers to the theoretical and practical issues arising in developing the Party's mass media into the most revolutionary and militant ideological weapon for the materialization of the idea and cause of the leader.

Speakers at the seminar explained that the idea and theory of publications and reports clarified by Kim Jong Il in his work serve as an ideological weapon to be always held fast to by media persons.

The validity and vitality of the Juche-oriented idea of mass media have been fully displayed after the publication of the work, so that the revolution and construction have been dynamically propelled, they said.

They also stressed that Kim Jong Il's idea and theory of mass media have been further developed and enriched under the wise guidance of Supreme Leader Kim Jong Un.

They said the idea and theory advanced by the Supreme Leader are an immortal banner to be always held fast to in defending and adding eternal luster to the undying feats of Kim Jong Il and in bringing about another revolution in mass media as required by the reality.

They called upon all the media persons to firmly adhere to the Juche-oriented idea of mass media set forth by Kim Jong Il and Kim Jong Un as a lifeline, thoroughly materialize it and thus fulfill their mission and duty as ideological standard-bearers in the ongoing all-out death-defying campaign to open up a period of a great upsurge in the socialist construction under the banner of self-reliance.
