Rodong Sinmun Slams Japanese Reactionaries
Pyongyang, May 7 (KCNA) -- Japan is planning to import interceptor missiles from the U.S. under the pretext of "missile threat" from someone.

Japan wants to purchase 56 SM-3 Block 1B interceptor missiles which can be mounted on an Aegis ship. It is pushing forward the introduction of the new type SM-3 Block 2A interceptor missile which it developed together with the U.S.

Rodong Sinmun Tuesday in a commentary denounces Japan's move as an act of deliberately wrecking the peaceful atmosphere that settled on the Korean peninsula and the region.

The commentary exposes that a peaceful climate has been created on the peninsula thanks to the DPRK's active steps and patient efforts, but only Japan has an axe to grind, taking umbrage at the present situation.

That explains why Japan tries to buy interceptor missiles costing an arm and a leg under the pretext of the non-existent "missile threat" from someone, the commentary points out, and goes on:

Japan's intention is as clear as noonday. It tries to fish in troubled waters by complicating the situation of the peninsula.

In a word, the Japanese reactionaries' move is designed to mess up the peaceful atmosphere of the peninsula and, by taking advantage of that, realize their ambition for a military power.

Turning itself into a military power is never beneficial to Japan.

If Japan keeps doing reckless acts unaware of the change in the strategic structure on the peninsula and the region, it will face ruin only.
