It was attended by members of the Diabetes Committee of the Korean Hospital Association and other medical experts and members of the delegation of the International Diabetes Federation led by President Nam Han Cho.

Sin Pong Chol, chairman of the Diabetes Committee of the Korean Hospital Association, made an opening address to be followed by congratulatory speeches.

Sin Pong Chol said that the current symposium would become a good occasion in exchanging the achievements and experience gained in preventing, curing and researching diabetes, a global issue.

Speakers expressed expectations that the participants in the symposium would obtain techniques for curing diabetes and that the ties between the International Diabetes Federation and the Diabetes Committee of the Korean Hospital Association would grow stronger.
