The Mining Engineering Institute under the Academy of Coal-mining developed multi-purpose equipment, which can operate rotary rock drill, sawing machine and others with one electric motor and flexible shaft, and introduced them into more than 200 coal faces, thus contributing to the coal production.

The Chonsong Youth Coal Mine improved the hauling capacity by introducing cableway and the Myonghak and Namdok Youth coal mines manufactured various rake conveyors and multi-functional inertia loading transporting machines.

The Kumya Youth Coal Mine newly built a reduction gear production base to boost the coal production.

Meanwhile, Sunchon, Songnam, Tokchon and other coal-mining machine factories have sent efficient winning assemblies, chain conveyors and loading machines to coal mines.
