The participants paid a silent tribute to fallen fighters of the Soviet Army and looked round the tower.

Staff members of the Russian embassy also placed a wreath and bouquets at the cemetery of fallen fighters of the Soviet Army in Sadong District, Pyongyang on the same day.

Earlier, they visited liberation towers, statues of Soviet soldiers, cemeteries and monuments to the fallen Soviet soldiers in local areas.

Meanwhile, staff members of the Russian consulate general in Chongjin placed bouquets at the Liberation Tower and the cemetery of fallen soldiers of the Soviet Army in Chongjin City of North Hamgyong Province. And a reception was hosted by the consulate general.
