Builders of the Chongjin Metal Construction Complex in charge of Phalhyang Dam construction smoothly blew up 50,000 and 70,000 cubic meters of earth to secure much aggregate and have made innovations in concrete tamping. As of May 6, they carried out over 94 percent of the dam project.

A waterway tunnel was driven through in several sections at the construction site of Orangchon Power Station No.4 amid the high-speed tunneling emulation.
