The joint statement of the Swiss Organizing Committee for the International Festival in Praise of the Great Persons of Mt Paektu, the Switzerland-Korea Committee and the Swiss Group for the Study of the Juche Idea expressed full support for the appeal sent by the Latin American and Caribbean Regional Committee to Support the Reunification of Korea to the world peace-loving people on the occasion of the first anniversary of the adoption of the Panmunjom Declaration and the June 12 DPRK-U.S. Joint Statement.

It stressed the historic significance of the north-south and the DPRK-U.S. summit meetings held last year thanks to the bold decision and will of Supreme Leader Kim Jong Un.

It paid respects to the noble will of Chairman Kim Jong Un for defending peace.

It hoped Korea's reunification will be achieved as soon as possible under the banner of the Panmunjom Declaration.

It supported the Korean people in their struggle for establishing a durable peace-keeping mechanism on the Korean peninsula.
