The statement said that the Latin American and Caribbean Regional Committee to Support the Reunification of Korea set the period of international action for peace, prosperity and reunification of the Korean peninsula from April 27 to June 12 ahead of the first anniversaries of the historic Panmunjom Declaration and the June 12 DPRK-U.S. Joint Statement and appealed to the world peace-loving people to proactively wage solidarity activities in support of the just cause of the Korean people.

Expressing full support to the appeal, it extended, together with the Bulgarian progressives, firm solidarity to the Korean people's struggle for establishing a permanent peace mechanism on the Korean peninsula.

It said that the Korean people would surely achieve the cause of national reunification under the guidance of HE Kim Jong Un, holding aloft the banner of national independence.
