Yonsa, May 17 (KCNA) -- An endless stream of people visits the revolutionary battle sites in the Yonsa area. The revolutionary battle sites are associated with the revolutionary historic exploits performed by President Kim Il Sung and the anti-Japanese war heroine Kim Jong Suk who went to the area on several occasions in the late 1930s and the early 1940s to lead the preparations for actively greeting the great event of the country's liberation. Over 940,000 working people, service personnel and youth and students from many units and different areas, including Kim Il Sung University, Kim Chaek University of Technology and Yonsa County, visited the revolutionary battle sites in the Yonsa area for the last decade; and the number of visitors is increasing. Being told about the fact that Kim Il Sung organized and guided a meeting of the homeland party working committee on Saji Peak in Aug. 1939, and that Kim Jong Suk formed the Yonsa area committee of the Association for the Restoration of the Fatherland and the Yonsa area party committee in June of the same year, the visitors bore in mind the revolutionary feats of the peerlessly great persons again. They also looked round the sites of the headquarters log cabin, bivouac, spring and bonfire and trees bearing slogans in the Sangdangsan Revolutionary Battle Site, the Kuksabong Revolutionary Battle Site and other revolutionary battle sites. |
