Present there were Nam Sung U, vice-chairman of the Central Standing Committee of the General Association of Korean Residents in Japan (Chongryon), So Chung On, director of its Department for International Affairs and Reunification, Chairman Ri Tong Je and vice-chairmen of the Association of Koreans in Japan for Peaceful Reunification, members of management board of each local council, advisors, and officials of the central leadership bodies and affiliates.

The reporter and speakers recalled the political information activities conducted by the Association of Koreans in Japan for Peaceful Reunification to explain and give publicity to the high intention and outstanding guidance of Supreme Leader Kim Jong Un and help the Koreans in Japan turn out in implementing the north-south declarations.

They noted that the association would as ever effectively conduct the political information activities to open up a heyday for peace, prosperity and reunification of the Korean peninsula, foiling the challenges by the internal and external anti-reunification forces, and contribute to revving up the atmosphere of solidarity and unity by boosting cooperation and exchange among Koreans in the north, the south and abroad.

Nam Sung U stressed that members of the management board of the association should positively conduct the movement for national reunification full of conviction and optimism, remaining vigilant against the south Korean anti-reunification conservative forces' moves to check the improvement of the north-south relations.
