More Truth about Kwangju Massacre Revealed

| Pyongyang, May 20 (KCNA) -- A document showing that traitor Chun Doo Hwan commanded the final bloody suppression operation codenamed "loyalty operation" in those days of the Kwangju Popular Uprising was disclosed, according to a news report. According to the "military instructions and measures during the loyalty operation in Kwangju" which were mapped out by the then 2nd Corps Command in 1980, the commander of 2nd Corps reported to Chun Doo Hwan on the "loyalty operation" plan on May 23 and Chun approved it. A witness testified that two copters had fired at the protesters in Kwangju. According to him, the copters fired about 500 bullets at the protesters. |
