Speakers of the rally said that the "Liberal Korea Party" (LKP) of south Korea nominated a person, who insulted the spirit of the Kwangju Uprising, as a member of the Investigation Committee for the Probe into the Truth behind the Kwangju Massacre and accepted the allegations made by Ji Man Won as historical facts and committed other reckless acts, all of which invoke public denunciation.

Noting LKP, roots of pro-Japan and military dictatorship, spawns injustice, they demanded the party of traitors stop denying history and democracy at once.

The participants in the rally marched up to the Taejon building of LKP, chanting slogans "Let us inherit May spirit!" and "Dissolve LKP!"

They held a funeral ceremony for LKP outside the building after sentencing to death the LKP that goes against the public sentiment and defends the distortion of May 18 history and the lawmaker perverting the historical facts.
