The research group of the institute settled such problems as image and voice coding technologies to develop the system with high image and voice transmission function, e-document reading function, real-time multimedia service function, etc.

The group won the February 16 Science and Technology Prize this year for its contribution to putting the national economy on a modern and IT basis of higher level.
