The contest will be held divided into such categories as plastering, carpentry, welding, pipe-making and lathe. More than 200 skilled workers selected in the earlier contests held in the field of the armed forces and by ministries, national institutions and provincial people's committees will take part in the contest.

Its opening ceremony took place at the Kangwon Provincial Art Theatre on Thursday.

Present there were Jon Kwang Ho, vice-premier of the Cabinet, officials of ministries and national institutions and officials and working people of institutions and enterprises in Wonsan.
