DPRK Children Show High Artistic Abilities at Int'l Piano Contest
Pyongyang, May 28 (KCNA) -- The 27th International Juvenile Chopin Piano Contest took place in Poland from May 16 to 19.

The contest was held divided into three age groups and brought together over 50 admirable pianists from 18 countries including the DPRK, China, Russia, Poland, Bulgaria and Italy.

The jury and experts were deeply moved by the wonderful playing of world famous music by Yu Jin A and Ri Kwon Yun of Kyongsang Kindergarten and Kim Ye Song, student of Pyongyang Music School No.1 of Kim Won Gyun University of Music, who made their debuts in international contest.

Yu Jin A was awarded a special prize in the Group A contest and participated in the demonstration concert of winners.

Ri Kwon Yun and Kim Ye Song also won special prizes in the groups A and C contests.
