The Supreme Leader of the Party, the State and the armed forces looked round the room for the education in the revolutionary history of the factory.

The Supreme Leader said that visiting the factory, he clearly remembered the image of Chairman Kim Jong Il who had been so much pleased to look round the unmanned process of the Machine Processing Workshop where CNC machine tools and robots were working during the last period of his life. He impressively noted that the Jangjagang Machine Tool Factory has turned into a leading machine production base performing an important role for developing the national economy under the wise leadership and deep care of President Kim Il Sung and Chairman Kim Jong Il.

Making rounds of several shops and watching new products, the Supreme Leader learned in detail about the technical updating and production.

He highly praised the factory which has produced at full capacity highly-efficient machines through the technological innovation movement upholding the banner of self-reliance based on a modern science and technology to render great benefits to the country by studying and introducing the utilitarian method for putting the production on a normal basis without the use of expensive metal materials which had been so far dependent on import.

Acquainting himself with the situation of the production of the ski lift for the skiing ground in the Yangdok County Hot Spring Resort which the Party recently gave as a new task, the Supreme Leader underscored the necessity to learn in detail about the merits and demerits of the ski lifts the factory sent to different skiing grounds of the country in the past and take measures to improve the quality of the products so that the people can use the ski lifts produced by our workers without any inconvenience.

Looking at the equipment for potato farina production newly produced by the factory, he praised them as successful and said that in the future, too, the factory should produce new modern and highly-efficient machines and equipment urgently needed by different sectors of the national economy at the highest level and as nice as imported equipment, to realize home-production of machines and equipment for updating the production processes of factories and enterprises of our country including foodstuff factories.

The Jangjagang Machine Tool Factory shoulders an important share in putting the national economy on a Juche and modern basis, he said, giving concrete instructions and ways for putting the technical equipment and the production process on a modern, scientific and precise basis of higher level and modernly updating the factory as required by the developing reality.

The roles of the manager, the chairman of the party committee and the chief engineer of the factory are very important in thoroughly implementing the Party's policy, he said, adding that the leading officials of the factory should form a trinity and properly combine the political guidance and economic and technical guidance in production and management and fully mobilize the mental power of scientists, technicians and workers and have a large share in developing the machine-building industry of the country.

The Party attaches top priority to the Jangjagang Machine Tool Factory, he pointed out, expressing the expectation and belief that the factory will as ever produce more updated machines conducive to the socialist economic construction and make great contribution for developing the machine-building industry of the country onto a new high stage.

He was accompanied by Jo Yong Won, Yu Jin, Kim Yong Su, Hyon Song Wol, Kim Chang Son, Ma Won Chun and other leading officials of the WPK Central Committee and the State Affairs Commission.
